THE FOUNDER
Dr. Ádám Békés is an attorney-at-law, economist, PhD associateof the Department of Criminal and Procedural Law of the Faculty of Law at Pázmány Péter Catholic University and founder of Békés Law Firm. With more than 20 years of professional experience,
he heads the Békés Association of Attorneys-at-law, he is also a member of the Hungarian Association of Criminal Law, the Legal Examination Board the editorial board of the Prosecutor's Review journal, the Penitentiary Legal Subcommittee of the State and Law Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and a research partner at the Research Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology, Faculty of Law, University of Pécs. In November 2018, he was elected as a member of the chairmanship of the Budapest Bar Association and in February 2019 as a member of the chairmanship of the Hungarian Bar Association. He is a prominent character of the Hungarian scientific life and criminal law thinking. He is an invited presenter at many Hungarian and international conferences not just within Europe but also overseas and has published most of his publications in English as well.....

Dr. Gábor Zalka is an attorney-at-law, he has been a member of Békés Law
Firm's team since 2009. Spending more than 10 years in the field of criminal law,
he has gained significant experience in criminal proceedings and injured
parties' representation. His field of research is criminal liability, on which
topic, he has published several studies in the last few years. Furthermore, he
acquired valuable knowledge and practical skills in the field of property and
municipal law, especially in representing municipal corporations in litigious
and non-litigious proceedings.....
Dr. Tamás Gépész is an attorney-at-law and a member of Békés Law Firm since 2014. He has extensive practical experience mostly in the field of criminal law, but he also regularly deals with corporate law, non-litigious (transactional) and procedural representation. In addition to his practical work, he attaches great attention to improving his theoretical knowledge. As a doctoral student of Pázmány Péter Catholic University, he already published several Hungarian and international scientific articles. His research field is: "Newest tendencies of the Community interventions against the international economic crimes at the level of the European Union....
TRAINEE LAWYERS
Dr. Veronika Meleg is a trainee lawyer, Ph.D. student. She graduated summa cum laude in 2022 and started her Ph.D. studies at Pázmány Péter Catholic University in the same year. During hes internship at the Prosecution Office Of Budapest Districts IV. and XV., so that she could gain useful experience in the field of criminal law, gaining insight into the work and role of the Prosecutor's Office in criminal proceedings. Her main area of interest is the grounds for total or partial exemption from criminal responsibility in criminal substantive law, and it was the main reason why her thesis was about the current issues of justifiable defense....
ADMINISTRATION
Andrea Kurgyis is an attorney assistant and a member of our firm since 2016. She manages completely the whole administration of Békés Law Firm and provides help to the attorneys' work. She is the designer and editor of the firm's image and periodically leads its creative work, she is also the personal assistant of dr. Ádám Békés.....
